Signs of an Unhealthy Heart Chakra
There are different ways you can tell if you have an unhealthy heart chakra. If you pay attention to what you are feeling and how your physical body is, you will know if you have an unhealthy chakra.
If you feel disconnected form people or are withdrawn, chances are you have an unhealthy heart chakra. You might even find out that you are afraid to be alone, that you are needy, in relationships where you have grudges easily and have a hard time letting go of negative things or thoughts. You might even experience a lot of jealous and being critical of yourself. You might feel that you are reliving your trauma and be afraid or feel that you are a victim.
If you are constantly afraid of other people and have a hard time trusting then you may experience other symptoms like high blood pressure, bad blood circulation, heaviness in your chest or other physical ailments and these can all relate to your heart chakra being unbalanced.
Deficient or Excessive
There are two types of chakra imbalances and one is where you feel that you are numb and the excessive is when you feel that you have too much aggression.
If you are deficient, it means you are sluggish and passive while being excessive means you have too much energy.
If you have a deficient heart chakra then you will have more anxiety and feel isolated but if you have excessive heart chakra then you will feel clingy and like the victim.
Heart Chakra Healing
When you have a strong and balanced heart chakra, you will be more open and receptive to what is going on with you. You will have less fear and bitterness and feel courageous and open. Not only will you love others, but you will love yourself and get rid of old behaviors that hold you back. You will no longer feel like a victim and you will have more trust.
There are ways you can balance your chakra and here are a few ideas.
Since green is the color of the heart chakra, get in nature. Go into the forest and brush against the trees. Plant something inside.
Having a balanced heart is a good thing and can take away your separation and give you love and kindness. Find a quiet spot and breathe deeply allowing your thoughts to go on people you love and someone close to you. Visualize your energy getting positive.
Make sure that you have boundaries and don’t allow yourself to overstep them. Do not always say yes to things and learn to say no. Have a habit of putting limits on yourself and taking care of you.
Use herbs such as rose, basil, nettle and more to open your heart chakra. Use the herbs and drink them in a tea.
Do not be judgmental and figure out how you can be kind to others. If someone is struggling, try to help them and be kind about it.
Try being huggy. This means to hug people more because it releases a chemical that calms down your body when you hug. Even hug yourself.

When you have a closed chakra, there is dark energy. You have to work through parts of your life where you were rejected or denied and these stored feelings are inside of you. Embrace them and get rid of them.
Cleanse your heart chakra with ylang, rose, lavender, neroli or other essential oils.
Make sure that you forgive people that have hurt you. Do this by lighting a candle and chanting a forgiveness ritual.

Since the heart chakra is part of the air element, you need to learn to deep breathe. Breathe in slowly and the deeper the breath, the better the oxygen will move through the cells. This can help with anxiety and social situations.
